Exalted Ruler Message
Greetings Brother and Sister Elks:
We are now into the last two months of 2023. Where did all the time go? Seems like only yesterday we were out with family and friends enjoying BBQs, the beach, and live music. As the holiday season approaches us, let us take time to reflect on all who cannot be with family and loved ones.
We have a lot of exciting events coming up including our annual Super Raffle fund raiser on Sunday, November 5. Please come and celebrate our past and present veterans at American Night, Saturday, November 11. Remember November is Elks Remembrance Month!
In December, the Elks Memorial Service honoring all our departed members that we lost throughout the past year will be on Sunday, December 5. We will end the year with our New Year’s Eve Party. See this bulletin for details for these and other Elk events.
In September, I travelled to Albany, NY to attend the NYS Elks Fall Conference along with our Lodge
Secretary, Kathleen Lang. We had the honor of having our Grand Exalted Ruler, Randy Shook, and his lovely wife Wanda in attendance. Kathy and I attended many workshops and enjoyed a nice dinner to
honor our Grand Exalted Ruler. GER Randy left us all with this message: “Be the staple in your

In October, I had the pleasure of attending an Elk Freedom Grant donation to Long Island Cares-Veterans Projects with our Veterans Chairman, Robert Giglio, Secretary Kathleen Lang, Lecturing Knight Anthony Vitale and his wife Regina, PSVP Brian Diaz, Leading Knight Thomas Staab and PER Joe Sanchez. The money we donated will supply over 1,100 meals to our veterans.
As we head into 2024, remember that you are the life blood of this Lodge--attend a meeting or an event, maybe even volunteer some time to help out. We need to remember we are fortunate to be living in the greatest country in the world and we belong to the greatest Fraternal Organization ever assembled. Show kindness to those around you. Continue to follow the principles of Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love and Fidelity. May you all have a wonderful holiday season and may your homes be filled with love, laughter, and joy.
